Editor's Note: This story has been updated throughout. There will be more than San Antonian taquerias, musicians and filmmakers demonstrating their talent at this year’s South by Southwest (SXSW) festival. Several local representatives from the high technology, culinary arts and educational sectors will gather in Austin to discuss how San Antonio has now become known more than a tourist town. The annual convergence of interactive technology, music and cinema begins March 10.

In collaboration with KRTU Jazz 91.7 The San Antonio Museum of Art will host Scene at SAMA, a monthly event that focuses on one aspect of the Museum and pairs it with a complementary musical genre and a specialty cocktail.

Saturday Sept. 15 from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m., come to the San Antonio Botanical Garden to enjoy Gardens by Moonlight for the best in live music, culinary treats and a romantic evening under the stars. The lineup of popular bands showcases a wide range of musical genre of both local and nationally-recognized talent. Moonlight and beautiful landscape lighting add to the glowing spell of the Garden for visitors as they stroll from stage to stage throughout the Botanical Garden's beautiful 38 acres.

Local 782, the San Antonio Music Coalition, in collaboration with KRTU 91.7 fm Nocturnal Transmissions, will hold a Music and Media Mixer for members of the local music community and the city's media makers and journalists from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, May 27 at C4 Workspace 108 King William Drive.
