The San Antonio Black Lawyers Association hosted a forum for judicial candidates on Oct. 20, 2018 at the Macedonia Baptist Church in San Antonio.Co-hosts included the NAACP,  the League of Women Voters of the San Antonio Area, Community of Churches for Social Action, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Delta Rho Lambda Chapter Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., Alpha Pi Zeta Chapter.

By Glenda Wolin “Eminent Domain: What’s It All About?” was the perfect title for the San Antonio Area League’s June 4 forum. Most people know very little if anything about the subject, not even that it involves the government’s right to buy your land out from under you for public use.

By Glenda Wolin Not guilty! That was one of the themes of the rousing keynote speech by Erika Prosper at the San Antonio League’s 2018 Annual Luncheon, held April 19, 2018. Not “not guilty” in the sense of a verdict, but in the sense that as women, we cannot let ourselves feel guilt over not being able to do everything we feel is expected of us, said Prosper, who is married to San Antonio Mayor Ron Nirenberg.
