Here in Texas, what are the holidays without tamales? Fun 4 Alamo Kids is hosting their fourth annual Tamales Festival this Saturday, December 3, 2022, and continues the following day, Sunday, December 4. On both days, the event will start at 10:00 a.m. and last until 6:00 p.m. It is geared toward children, but there is something for everyone to enjoy, including live music and entertainment. The Tamales Festival is also pet friendly. If interested, the event is set to take place at 7701 FM-1346, San Antonio, Texas.

The Avenida’s 16 de Septiembre Celebration, one of San Antonio’s largest citywide multicultural events attended by nearly 10,000 each year, just got bigger.  Adding to the colorful, vibrant and celebratory parade, gala and festival, which have been traditions on the west side of San Antonio for more than three decades, the Mexican Consulate will join with the Avenida Guadalupe Association (Avenida) this year to bring the historical Grito to the festivities.
