Luminaria is a non-profit art organization celebrating their 10th annual contemporary arts festival. The free festival is Friday in downtown San Antonio, November 10th from 7 PM to Midnight at Hemisfair. Ticketed events, including artist brunches, a special VIP experience, and a closing party are available throughout the weekend.

The citizen committees studying San Antonio's planned 2017 bond are more than halfway through their work. Members of the parks and recreation committee, though, are offering varying opinions that reflect a growing number of residents who hope to get more attention for smaller, less visible projects citywide.

Luminaria contemporary arts festival brings regional and international artists to the San Antonio eastside November 9th -12th. Celebrate all the inspiring work presented at the 2016 festival with art lovers at the Luminaria Closing Party on November 12 from 8 p.m. to 12p.m. The closing party will be hosted in the newly renovated Healy-Murphy Center’s historic church. It will feature visiting artists from San Antonio’s sister cities Wuxi, China and Monterrey Mexico.

San Antonio's annual evening celebration of artists and their art takes place on Saturday, March 9, beginning at 7:00 p.m. and culminating at midnight with the launch of hundreds of luminarias into the night sky. Admission is free and the event is located throughout HemisFair Park. The celebration showcases all forms of art including Media, Dance, Visual, Music, Literary, and Theater and Performance. Luminaria is a great venue for artists from San Antonio and all over the nation. The event exposes hundreds of thousands of people in new and exciting ways.
