Here are links to watch or replay three San Antonio City Council Public Safety Committee community listening sessions to gather feedback on policing in San Antonio.   The Public Safety Committee, which is chaired by District 6 Councilwoman Melissa Cabello Havrda, is hosting three listening sessions, one in-person event and two virtual meetings. Council members Jada Andrews-Sullivan, District 2; Rebecca Viagran, District 3;  Ana Sandoval, District 7; and Clayton Perry, District 10,  also sit on the committee.

Runoff candidates for District 6, Melissa Cabello Havrda and Andy Greene, took questions from the online and in-person audience in a forum moderated by the League of Women Voters of the San Antonio Area on May 22, 2019 at the San Antonio Food Bank. The candidates differed In response to a question about District 6 budget priorities.

While a boisterous audience of COPS/Metro Alliance members cheered them on, candidates for San Antonio mayor and city council pledged to fight Senate Bill 4 - the anti-sanctuary city law - starting on the day they take office. About 350 people packed the Dominion Church of God in Christ on May 22 for a Get Out the Vote Rally and Accountability Session where candidates were asked to give yes or no answers to questions about the COPS/Metro agenda on SB4, affordable housing, immigration and living wages.
