VSA Texas presents the 2017 MIAW Art Show, an exhibition celebrating Mental Illness Awareness Week in October, at Bihl Haus Arts, 2803 Fredericksburg Road. The exhibition, which includes artwork by 20 artists with mental illness from the San Antonio area, opens with a reception from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 30. It runs through October 7. Music provided by the Michael Waid duo.

These feelings are one of the major markers for suicide risk.  Kids who feel hopeless are seven times more likely to attempt suicide compared to other kids. Please be part of a conversation and presentation with Ms. Melissa Tijerina from the Center for Health Care Services and Dr. Geoff Gentry with the Clarity Child Guidance Center about confronting this critical situation and coordinating a response for San Antonio youth.
