Dinosaur and other fossil discoveries have been part of Texas culture and science since the late 1800’s. Come by The Witte Museum to hear Dr. Thomas Adams, Curator of Paleontology and Geology, discuss the history of dinosaurs in Texas. The price of admission is $5 for members, students and educators, and $10 for adults. This event is free for Voyager and Quillin Society Membership Levels.

Where is a book transformed into artwork and a library transformed into a museum? In January and February of 2016, the gallery at San Antonio Central Library became a Book Garden ~ a home to oversized southwestern lizards, busts of Renaissance men, Zen rocks and other sculptures, all created by Taiwanese-born artist Long-Bin Chen. On first glance, most people think the carvings are made from marble or stone - but in fact they are sculpted from books and magazines.

Catherine Lee will present her exhibition "Emergence" in the Main Gallery at Blue Star Contemporary from September 4 - November 9, 2014, with an opening reception Thursday, September 4 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. After 32 years working in New York and London, Catherine Lee returned to her native state and built a studio in the Texas Hill Country, where her work continues, without the distraction of urban life. Lee has exhibited extensively, abroad and in the United States, having had one-person exhibitions in galleries in major art centers world wide.
