Led by Wendy Drezek of the Sierra Club and staffed by an accompanying Master Naturalist. Participants will walk along the Savanna Trail to the savanna restoration area and then proceed to the Oak Loop Trail. There will be a few stops along the trail where certain plants and points of ecological interest will be explained with ample time for participant questions.

Texas Master Naturalists Lisa Franz and Michelle Fisher Curry introduce the Alamo Chapter of The Texas Master Naturalists, one of 39 state chapters. Volunteers with the organization must complete a 10-week course that covers geology, plant life and conservation techniques to aquire the title.

In this video, Matt Mooney describes the rainwater harvesting system he designed and built using a recycled satellite dish to provide water to wildlife in San Antonio's Hardberger Park. The project was his final assignment to become an Eagle Scout, the highest rank given within the Boy Scouts of America. Mooney continues with the best practices behind maintaining a rainwater harvesting system.
