STEP UP for Arts Education is hosting a discussion and free workshop on public interest in art and art education.The workshop, scheduled from 9 a.m. to noon, Saturday, May 14, at the McNay Art Museum, will feature writer and cultural activist Arlene Goldbard (pictured at right). The goal for the day is to share ideas and resources, promote dialogue and find people who care about arts education in San Antonio, according to the newsletter release.

Say Si will be hosting its annual Spring yard art sale from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday, April 1 (no foolin') as part of First Friday celebrations in Southtown.Its students have painted chairs, created mosaics and performed work with other tools to show off and sell in celebration of National Poetry Month.
