The San Antonio Botanical Garden’s Betty Kelso Center invites you to witness the music of the SOLI Chamber Ensemble! Ringing in 2023 with Woven, a unique, upcoming performance on January 16, featuring composers who weave the sounds and spirit of their cultural heritages into contemporary classical works. Woven will also feature works by Bohdana Frolyak, Shawn Okpebholo, and Gabriela Lena Frank, and the world premiere of CONFLUX by San Antonio-native Niccolo Athens.

The San Antonio Botanical Garden presents Rooted, a monumental sculpture exhibition by acclaimed artist Steve Tobin. From towering root systems to polished clouds, egg-laden nests, and spiraling tornados, the forces of nature are on display throughout the Garden through October 30.

Since 2004, the San Antonio Botanical Garden (SABG) has annually installed sculptural works in their beautiful setting in the Mahnke Park area. SABG Executive Director Bob Brackman has worked with Bill FitzGibbons and a variety of nonprofit arts organizations over the years, such as Blue Star Contemporary Art Museum and the Texas Sculpture Group.

The Parks Community Bond Committee on Monday, Dec. 5, finalized its recommendations toward the city’s planned 2017 bond.
Committee members spent nearly four hours making proposals and counter-proposals. Negotiations during brief breaks took place. A few tense moments, also, were present.

Replay the video: With two cameras perched at the San Antonio Botanical Garden, NOWCastSA webcast the Fort Sam Houston Fiesta fireworks celebration live Sunday night.
The San Antonio Botanical Garden boasts the highest elevation spot inside of the Interstate 410 loop and is next door to Fort Sam Houston's MacArthur Parade Field, where the fireworks are launched, making it an ideal place to view the fireworks spectacular.
