The Soldiers’ Angels are hosting an event to feed San Antonio Veterans on January 19. Soldiers’ Angels will provide monthly food assistance to low-income and homeless veterans. The event takes place at the Cowboys Dancehall, at 3030 NE Interstate 410 Loop, San Antonio, Texas. Volunteers will pack bags of groceries and give the groceries to attending veterans.

On June 11, 1865, a band of ex-Confederate soldiers robbed the Texas State Treasury in Austin of $15,000 in silver - they thought it was gold - and escaped into the night.
