The Baptist Health Foundation has awarded Chosen a $75,000 grant to fund mentoring and parent education for kinship families. Chosen is a nonprofit that helps children heal from trauma and strengthens foster, kinship and adoptive families through mentoring, parent education and therapeutic services.

UIW Theatre presents the inspiring musical, GODSPELL from February 23 to March 3. Using a variety of games, storytelling techniques, and parables from Gospel of Matthew, a group of students learn the importance of love, kindness and inclusion from a master teacher. It’s a hummable, hand-clapping, move-to-the-beat musical you won’t want to miss. Mark Stringham directs GODSPELL with musical direction by Bill Gokelman, choreography by Campbell Reid Andrews, scene and costume design by Christopher McCollum, and lighting design by Justin Bennett.

The Office of Alumni & Parent Relations are pleased to host the 8th Annual Easter egg Hunt at the McCracken House on Saturday, March 24 from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. With the Easter egg Hunt beginning promptly at 11 a.m., there will be 1,000 Easter eggs, activity tables and the Easter bunny! There is no cost to participate in this event.

Join us on July 22 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. for an evening of fun at the 9th Annual Casino Night and Hold’Em Tournament. Tickets are $40 per person; the food and beverage are included. This year the Texas Hold’Em Tournament will benefit St. Anthony Alum, SAFD Fire Lt. Max Weltens as he continues to battle cancer. Entry fee for Texas Hold’Em is $50, seating is limited, and Casino Night ticket must be bought to play in the tournament.
