Join a safe space for women identified people to come together and share their stories, find support, and connect with others. These gatherings will be intended to provide safety, so what is said in these spaces remains in these spaces. Each year since 2012, Methodist Healthcare Ministries of South Texas, Inc. (MHM) has awarded funds to NOWCastSA to support projects that democratize local health data. NOWCastSA has used these funds funds to enrich the local information ecosystem with more than 50 health data and information projects, including live webcasts and video productions, community asset maps, stories and even a student journalism training program.

This July, SAY Sí students will shed light on another important unexplored topic in their fifth installment of Stories Seldom Told. Every year, the “Stories Seldom Told” exhibition series reflects issues that are rarely spoken about, with a focus on peoples who are often silenced. Students vote on an exhibition theme of their choice, researching topics and creating artwork that would challenge both them and their audiences.

All it takes is you and a friend or family member to sit down and have a recorded conversation about any experiences or memories you wish to share and have preserved.

Recuerdos featuring the Guadalupe Dance Company will be held at 8 p.m. Sunday, Monday and Tuesday at the Guadalupe Theatre, 1301 Guadalupe St., on the West Side of San Antonio. The event features dance and music highlighted with stories told by people from the West Side community.
