Join us as local teens, clubs, and organizations convene for music and digital arts, a teen art show, spoken word, performing arts, fashion, short film screenings, an arts slam, and dance performances. You can also check out an art-themed escape room! Teens (ages 13 – 18) will get an opportunity to meet with local organizations that support teens and the arts to find out more about how to get involved. Teen Arts Fest is one of many annual events produced for teens, by teens from Eclectic Electric at the Teen Library at Central.

Y'all are invited to the most rootin' tootin' rodeo this side of Loop 1604!  There will be light refreshment provided for the whole family, from the little cowboys and cowgirls to the old timers.  All will be served as we got grub to give.  Bring the young-uns for some good time games and crafts.  Take a picture with photo props and stick around for the petting zoo.  All the fun will on Saturday, February 11, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.  Ya'll come!

Rock the Plaza is a concert featuring teen musicians from Take Note, the San Antonio Music Academy, Eclectic Electric, and teens from SA schools.  This year we fuse Rock and Mariachi for the show!

School will soon be back in session for youth across the city. Unfortunately, there are some topics they won’t be learning about in the classroom. Topics such as bullying, mental health, sex and STD prevention aren’t always discussed openly in schools. That’s why the San Antonio AIDS Foundation (SAAF, “sāf”) created Teen Talk, a website dedicated to providing youth throughout the state with relevant and accurate information about a variety of topics related to their lives.

These feelings are one of the major markers for suicide risk.  Kids who feel hopeless are seven times more likely to attempt suicide compared to other kids. Please be part of a conversation and presentation with Ms. Melissa Tijerina from the Center for Health Care Services and Dr. Geoff Gentry with the Clarity Child Guidance Center about confronting this critical situation and coordinating a response for San Antonio youth.

The Children’s Shelter announces the launch of iParent SA® Teen HOPES, a free home visitation program for teen parents. Home visitation programs strengthen and improve parenting skills and practices, increase parental knowledge of child development, prevent child abuse and neglect, and decrease subsequent teen births.

The San Antonio Public Library, SAPL, has expanded its services with a new digital collection website experience just for children and teens.  Through a partnership with OverDrive, Inc., Children and Teen eReading Rooms are now available at mysapl.org. The eReading rooms provide a virtual environment for children and teens to browse within the SAPL digital library.
