Nearly 200 neighborhood residents attended the 3rd annual Neighborhood Day hosted by the Bowen Center for Neighborhood Advocacy on June 9 at Laurel Heights United Methodist Church. The event encourages residents to come together to get information and discuss ideas to make better neighborhoods.

NOWCastSA teamed up with Texas Public Radio to spend time learning more about the personal qualities of  the four front-runners in the 2015 campaign for mayor of San Antonio. Sipping champagne, cheering and dancing, about 300 people celebrated the launching of San Antonio's newest radio station, KROV-FM, as it broadcast its first official song and its station identification in the parking lot of its new offices.  KROV 91.7FM-HD2 launched on a sunny, warm Sunday, Feb. 27 with the playing of a duet of Michael Jackson and Akon singing "Hold My Hand," a recently-released song recorded before Jackson's death in 2009.
