Every first and third Saturday of each month, The Helotes Humane Society holds adoption events at the NW Petco off Hwy 1604 and Bandera Rd. Every third Sunday of each month are cat/kitten adoptions. Please come out and take a look. All of our animals are given foster care in homes since the Helotes Humane Society is so new, we have no shelter. All our dogs and cats are rescued animals. All of our animals come spayed/neutered, and up-to-date on all of their shots. They are tested and treated before going to a permanet home.

The San Antonio Haven for Hope recently commissioned local artist, Cletus Behlmann, S.M., to create a mural design for their Prospect Courtyard project. The courtyard wall is more 650 feet long and more than seven feet high, and the mural drapes the entire surface.Brother Cletus Behlmann has been a part of St. Mary's University since 1979. To complete this massive undertaking, Cletus arranged for students and faculty from St. Mary's to paint his designs onto the wall. The painters were allowed to choose their own colors and add patterns at will.
