The City of San Antonio, Bexar County and the San Antonio Food Bank opened 13 bottled water distribution sites on February 20, 2021. The sites will remain open for two weeks. Residents will be able to pick up one case of bottled water per day per household. Red Markers: The bottled water distribution sites opened at 1 p.m. on Saturday through 5 p.m., or until supplies last. On Sunday, the hours of operation will be 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The sites will remain open through March 6.

The Raul Jimenez Thanksgiving Dinner has been mixed in San Antonio’s tradition since 1979 when the late Raul Jimenez fed 100 of San Antonio’s elderly and less fortunate. This year, 4,000 volunteers are expected to serve more than 25,000 who gather for the fellowship and the food, said event organizer Patricia Jimenez.

The San Antonio Haven for Hope recently commissioned local artist, Cletus Behlmann, S.M., to create a mural design for their Prospect Courtyard project.The courtyard wall is more 650 feet long and more than seven feet high, and the mural drapes the entire surface.Brother Cletus Behlmann has been a part of St. Mary's University since 1979. To complete this massive undertaking, Cletus arranged for students and faculty from St. Mary's to paint his designs onto the wall. The painters were allowed to choose their own colors and add patterns at will.
