Replay the video from the July 8 webcast of the third and final New Wheatley Community School Development Gathering at Wheatley Middle School, 415 Gabriel St. Wheatley Middle School has been identified as a community school host in EastPoint, a 4-square-mile area located on the Eastside of San Antonio, encompassing Eastside Promise Neighborhood and Choice Neighborhood.

More than 115 students from five different classrooms had the opportunity to test-drive NOWCastSA's new media technology during Career Day at Wheatley Middle School. The day-long event on May 10, 2013 was designed to encourage students to explore a variety of careers and college possiblities.

With help from a grant from U.S. Department of Education, San Antonio school, city and and community leaders joined with residents to create the East Side Promise Neighborhood initiative to collaborate on a plan to expand the opportunities for children to succeed in getting an education from cradle to career. This video is the second in a series to collect the participants' expectations, desires and ideas about how the East Side Promise Neighborhood Initiative will function.

Parents, neighbors and teachers from the East Side gathered Tuesday, March 8 at Wheatley Middle School for a public forum that gave education and developmental outcomes for children from the school district as part of federal grant called Promise Neighborhoods.You can watch the Webcast here:
