Two job fairs are taking place within a week, one focusing on San Antonio's growing information technology sector. Workforce Solutions Alamo will have a career fair for youths 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 24, at the Education Service Center Region 20. Organizations say there are positions available in an increasing number of specific fields. The job fairs are happening after the announcement that U.S. jobless claims fell last week to their lowest level since July.

For the second year, a student career fair will be held for all students from the age 16 to 24. This fair, themed “Begin with your end in Mind”, intends to not only allow participants to meet employers, but learn how to build resumes, prepare for job interviews, and many other vital career skills. The event will occur on Saturday September 24 and will run from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the region 20 offices.
