Neighborhood Resource Center Announces its 23rd Annual Neighborhood Conference “Active and Healthy Neighborhoods from 8:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 9 at the Laurel Heights United Methodist Church, 227 W. Woodlawn
Kicking off the Conference plenary session will be a morning panel, “Winning Practices,” consisting of representatives of award-winning neighborhood groups who will discuss various programs and projects that make them active and successful.
Representatives from the Mayor’s Fitness Council will inform Conference participants about city-wide efforts to help San Antonio neighborhoods get fit and stay healthy.
Local celebrity Sonny Melendrez will deliver a motivational message for neighborhood leaders, “Why lead?”
