AACOG is joining the Department of Energy to celebrate National Weatherization Day. It is a chance to highlight the important work performed by the Energy Department's Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP) network over the last 40 years. We will have client success stories, a demonstration, and Weatherization Ambassador Awards for agencies and public officials who have been instrumental to our success in 2017.
Lunch and a goody bag for attendees will be provided. RSVP by registering for the event. Please feel free to share this event with any community partners who might benefit from our services.
About the WAP Program
The Weatherization Assistance Program reduces energy costs for low-income households by increasing the energy efficiency of their homes, while ensuring their health and safety. Through the Weatherization improvements and upgrades, these households save on average $283 or more every year (National Evaluation).
Professionally trained weatherization crews use computerized energy assessments with advanced diagnostic equipment to create a comprehensive analysis of the home to determine the most cost- effective measures appropriate and to identify any health and safety concerns.
