More than 120 organizations and businesses will turn the Toyota Field area in San Antonio into a gateway to resources, opportunities and independence for the annual AccessAbility Fest.
This year’s festival will feature “Autism Uncovered,” an effort to break the Guinness World Record for the largest blanket fort; over 120 Exhibitors featuring products and services that offer support for people living with a disability; games and activities; mascots; various health screenings; demonstrations; and other activities and entertainment.
Free and open to the public, AccessAbility Fest is for people of all abilities, including those with physical, developmental, sensory and/or mental health challenges. It will feature entertainment, informational exhibits, and experts available to answer questions in a number of subject areas.
The event, celebrating its 11 year, is a collaborative effort between disABILITYsa and 16 local disability service partners to bring resources and education to individuals with disabilities and their families. It is planned and implemented by a team of volunteers who represent a broad variety of non-profit and for-profit organizations serving individuals with disabilities in our community.
