Mission Possible 360, Inc. will be holding its inaugural benefit luncheon on Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at the Neighborhood Place, 3014 Rivas Street, San Antonio, Texas. The luncheon will be held from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm. The theme for this special event is "Investing in our Youth." This is a great opportunity to learn more about the tremendous and life-changing work done by Mission Possible 360 ("MP360"), a 501(c)(3) tax exempt non-profit organization.
REACHING out to “at-risk” youth in San Antonio, TEACHING them to focus on education and personal development, improving relationships and reconnecting with their families, guiding them toward becoming productive, faith-filled adults, and SENDING them out into the community to, in turn, help others is what MP360 is all about. MP360 staff and volunteers provide the youth with leadership, spiritual, and empowerment experiences that are designed to help them in their critical healing and character development. MP360 targets and helps youth at risk of dropping out of school, incarceration, and the repeated cycle of abuse and poverty through the use of evidence-based, time-tested programs, mentoring, counseling, job readiness training and more.
The keynote speaker for the luncheon will be Nicholas "Nico" LaHood, Bexar County’s District Attorney.
Born and raised in San Antonio, LaHood has always had a spirit to serve, especially those in great need. Ministries like MP360 are personally important to LaHood as he, like at-risk youth being helped by MP360, had to overcome past mistakes. “From poor choices to tragedy – everything I have been through in my life, I believe God has used to bring wisdom to me in this position (of District Attorney).” District Attorney LaHood believes in the Restorative Justice Model for non-violent offenders, which is defined as “bringing together the victim, offender, and community to repair relationships." His keynote address is certain to be inspiring!
There is 'no cost' to attend this "Investing in our Youth" luncheon but a request for financial support will be made at the event. Once you learn more about our mission, hear about the successful results, and see the faces of lives changed through our programs, we trust that you will decide to support us. If our story, mission and results don't touch your heart, then you will have at least enjoyed a tasty and free lunch on us. The event will include more surprises, live music and fun. You'll just have to come to see for yourself!
NOTE: The parking lot at the Neighborhood Place is scheduled to be under repair at the time of the event. However, we have been able to secure ample parking space nearby on the Holy Cross High School grounds (unpaved parking area) about three blocks east on Rivas Street adjacent to the baseball fields and there will also be a free shuttle service to get you to and from the Holy Cross parking area to the Neighborhood Place (unless you prefer to walk).
