Science of the Human Mind

The San Antonio Public Library will host The Human Motor Performance Laboratory- How the Human Mind Works with Dr. Donal Robin on Saturday, February 8, 2014.

Dr. Donald Robin, Ph.D., professor at the University of Texas San Antonio, UTSA, and Chief of the Human Performance Division at the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio, UTHSCSA, will host this program about the science of the human mind at San Antonio Public Library locations.

Visit Tobin Branch Library at Oakwell on Saturday, February 8 at 2:00pm to participate in The Human Motor Performance Laboratory- How the Human Mind Works, a discussion about brain imaging and how the human mind works. Dr. Robin will host the discussion and describe his work in the Human Motor Performance Laboratory , HMPL. Specifically, he will discuss brain imaging as a tool to understand how the mind works, and the use of imaging to understand and treat conditions such as Parkinson ’s disease, chronic pain and traumatic brain injury.

This program is a presentation by the SAPL Lifelong Learning Committee. Lifelong Learning is dedicated to providing Library programs for adults, ages 18-50, that facilitate self-learning and self-education.
