Session on Faithful Citizenship

Please join us for a session on Faithful Citizenship

Monday, September 12, 2016, 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
St. Alphonsus Parish Hall
1200 S. Rosillo St, San Antonio, TX 78207 (corner of Rosillo and San Carlos)

Mr. Jesus Ramirez from the Archdiocesan Life, Justice and Peace office will offer a presentation on Faithful Citizenship, which teaches why voting and participation in public life is a moral obligation for Catholics.

COPS/Metro leaders and organizers will teach what is on the ballot locally and how to "put our faith in action" through a non-partisan Get-Out-the-Vote campaign ahead of November's election. Local issues include stronger legislation to regulate payday lenders, protecting local living wage ordinances, understanding what is at stake in school board elections, and considering a ballot initiative by SAISD to increase funding for after school and summer school programs.

This session is open to people of all faiths.
