World Dance of the People

Subject:  “World Dance of the People” Dance instruction series

Date:  January 24, 2014 begins a 7-week series

Remaining dates are:  January 31, February 7, February 14, February 21, February 28,  March 7

Time:  7 to 9 pm each of those Fridays

Cost:  FREE

Ages recommended:  Kids and older

Level:  Beginner

Where:  International Folk Culture Center on the campus of Our Lady of the Lake University, 411 SW 24th St. 78207

Description:  The International Folk Culture Center will sponsor a free 7-week series of beginner-level dance instruction every Friday night starting January 24, 2014. 
“World Dance of the People” will explore village and traditional dances from around the world and will also incorporate one or more current U.S. line dances each night. 
Participants who have perfect attendance on all seven nights will receive a scholarship to the San Antonio Folk Dance Festival March 14-16, 2014.
