On Aug.11, from 1 p.m to 4 p.m. at the Esperanza Peace and Justice Center, Climate Action SA is hosting a Climate Plática. This particular Climate Plática will be focusing on CPS Energy and the Flexible Path with the purpose of engaging the public and fostering a discussion about the current state of energy in San Antonio and what we want to see moving forward. We all want to work towards making San Antonio and better place for our current and future residents, especially in light of challenges from climate change.

Project H.O.T. (HIV Outreach and Testing) and UNiFY will be at the Institute for World AIDS Day. We will have free HIV and STD testing. UNiFY will be giving out free “pleasure supplies” as well as letting you participate in a fun, interactive art project in front of the Sexology Institute.

Join a certified diabetes educator for CHRISTUS Santa Rosa’s Diabetes Self-Management Education classes. Learn how to live a healthier life with diabetes while making sense of your blood sugar numbers and finding out how diabetes affects your body. These classes will also cover how to control your blood sugar with meal plans, exercise, and medications. Plus, there will be plenty of time for questions. Classes are offered once a month in the Kingman Conference Room. A healthy meal will be provided.
