Summary: A young orphan named Buddy mistakenly crawls into Santa's bag and is transported back to the North Pole to be raised as an elf. Years later, Buddy learns he is not really an elf and goes on a journey to New York to find his true identity. Starring Will Ferrell. Rated PG

Get in the holiday spirit by wrapping your Christmas gifts at the Memorial Branch Library! Bring your gifts, and we'll provide the gift wrap, bows, ribbon, and tissue paper. A limited number of gift boxes and bags will be provided, so bring your own if you like. Holiday music will be played during the program, so be ready to spread some cheer at the library! Program is free to attend. Supplies are limited.

Join us for our monthly 2nd Saturday Convivio as we celebrate Las Posadas at the Rinconcito de Esperanza in the Westside!   We'll have a sing-along, piñatas, candy bags, and our women’s clay cooperative will have their studio open for some holiday shopping from 1-6pm!

Join us for our monthly Noche Azul concert! Come enjoy some canciones navideñas with Azul Barrientos! Musicians TBA. Doors open at 7:30 PM. Tickets are $7 más o menos at the door, but any more donations are appreciated. Tickets are ONLY sold during the day of the concert starting at 6:30pm. Seating is first-come first-served.

The Department of Music presents Amahl and the Night Visitors on Friday, Dec 1 at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday, Dec 2, at 2 p.m., in the Fine Arts Concert Hall. UIW vocalists will perform the one-act opera about the shepherd boy, Amahl, who is visited by the Three Kings while travelling to see the newborn Christ. The event is free and open to the public. San Antonio Youth Ballet invites the community to enjoy it's production of the holiday classic The Nutcracker.  A cast of 50 dancers from as far as Georgetown, Canyon Lake, and Bulverde will perform for two audiences on December 14th and 15th, with special cameo from District 2 Councilman William "Cruz" Shaw and wife, former ballerina, Michelle Shaw.  Go on a journey to magical kingdoms - meeting snowflakes and sugar plum fairies on a fantastic journey with Clara and her Toy Soldier.  The Nutcracker will be a perfect evening for the entire family.
