San Antonio's public hearing on a proposal to mandate paid sick leave drew an overflow crowd to City Hall Chambers Aug. 8, with former Mayor Julian Castro leading off more than 100 speakers in favor of the measure. The San Antonio Express-News reported that 20 people spoke against the proposal.
