The Friends of the San Antonio Public Library are now accepting nominations for their annual Arts & Letters awards, recognizing San Antonians who have made outstanding contributions in the fields of the arts and literature, including the visual arts, dramatic arts, musical arts, and any genre of the written arts, including journalism.

Austin’s Emperors of Eclecticism, the Invincible Czars have been all over the US in the last year with their silent film soundtrack to Nosferatu.  They kicked it all off at URBAN-15 last spring and now they’re coming back with a new silent film score for Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde.

BORN YESTERDAY is a comedy about millionaire junk man, Harry Brock, who brings his beautiful, rough-around-the-edges girlfriend, Billie Dawn, to Washington, D.C. When Billie's lack of social graces becomes a liability to Brock's business dealings, he hires a journalist, Paul Verrall, to educate her. In the process of enlightenment, Billie painfully realizes the nature of Brock's crooked schemes. On May 15, the public is invited to a community conversation talkback immediately following the show.
