The Ancira Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram 2019 Live Music Series at The County Line” that benefits the San Antonio Food Bank is back for its 19th year on Thursday nights, beginning March 7. This very popular live music series will run in a split series this year—first series from March 7 through May 30, and the second series from Sept 5 through October 21. As in past years, the concerts occur on the patio of The County Line Bar-B-Q restaurant at 10101 IH-10 West (near the Colonnade). Concerts begin at 7:30 and run until 9 p.m “We are splitting up the series to avoid the hot summer months,” says Mike Crenwelge, General Manager of the IH-10 County Line location since 1980. “The first half is full of the Music Series’ favorites--including Bri, Mario, Gabe and Clay, as well as some new additions such as the Reed Brothers and Midnight River Choir that have great followings.” This music series has featured some of the very best Texas and national country musicians in the past including Cory Morrow, Randy Rogers, Jason Boland, Roger Creager, Wade Bowen, Pat Green, Aaron Watson, Radney Foster, Kevin Fowler, Bleu Edmondson, and many more. County Line’s great array of food can be ordered in the restaurant and taken outside. Happy hour will run inside and outside of the restaurant, from 3 to 7 p.m. on concert days. As always, this live music series is free. However, all who attend are asked to make a food or monetary donation to the San Antonio Food Bank. In 2015, the County Line was recognized by the San Antonio Food Bank for raising enough food to feed over 1 million people since the inception of the music series in 2001. In 2017 alone, it brought in a record breaking number of donations: $7,822.32 in cash and 2,386 lbs. of food, which equals 80,609 lbs. of food to feed the hungry in San Antonio area. Free parking is available at Hallmark College, less than one block away on IH-10 access road. Concerts are held rain or shine. Performers for the first part of the series (March through May 2019) are: Bri Bagwell 3/14/2019 Mario Flores, Gabe Garcia and Clay Hollis

"Besides feeding millions of people, with the promise to do more going forward, County Line has a deep history of community philanthropy," Crenwelge adds.   "Even before we started this incredible donation campaign with the San Antonio Food Bank, we have been active donors to the Food Bank's Second Servings program from the 1980s to now.   When we started the music series, we made a commitment to hold a free, family event that would benefit the Food Bank. Although the music series has evolved in many ways since we started it 19 years ago, we have always stayed true to our mission, and intend to keep it that way."
