Voters San Antonio ousted two incumbent city council members and retained another, bringing a total of four new faces to the 10-member panel in the June 5, 2021 runoff election.
Unlike the May 1 election that brought out more than 17% of registered voters, the runoff drew a paltry 10.43% of registered voters.
The most voters came out to choose in the District 9 race with a total of 18,199 votes cast.
Runoff election results:
City Council District 1
Challenger Mario Bravo is the declared winner with 53.58% of the votes.
Incumbent Roberto Treviño lost with 46.42% of votes.
City Council District 2
Challenger Jalen Mckee-Rodriguez is the declared winner with 63.11% of the votes.
Incumbent Jada Andrews-Sullivan lost with 36.89% of votes.
City Council District 3
Phyllis Viagran is the declared winner with 59.85% of the votes.
Tomas Uresti lost with 40.15% of votes.
City Council District 5
Teri Castillo is the declared winner with 57.58% of votes.
Rudy Lopez lost with 42.42% of votes.
City Council District 9
Incumbent John Courage is the declared winner with 53.86% of votes.
Challenger Patrick Von Dohlen lost with 46.14% of votes.
