Jerry Rodriguez, who lives in the Southtown area, took these photos while walking along the trails around the Probandt Street and Theo Avenue bridges on Aug. 10. The photos show the progress along the banks of the "Mission Reach" section of the San Antonio River.

In this slideshow of those photos, you can see workers sandblasting designs of the natural habitat into a newly completed bridge over the river.
